Kalimpong Nursuries

Kalimpong has a very descent climate for the cultivation of different horticultural plants. Kalimpong is an important orchid-growing area, also produces about 80% of India's gladiolas. The flowers grown here are exported to all over the world. There are some flowers nurseries that are in this business.

Pineview Nursery

One of the places suggested by our invisible guide for Kalimpong was ‘Cactus nursery’ in our itinerary. The Exotic Cactus Collection nursery stands firm at Atisha Road, approximately, two kilometers off Kalimpong town. The Nursery, which has the largest collection of cacti, in the whole of Asia, holds a place of pride for the citizens, christened the PineView Nursery; it has over 1,500 different varieties of cactuses.

Ganesh Mani Pradhan & Son's Nursery

Ganesh Mani Pradhan & Son's Nursery are specializing in growing and exporting a wide range of cool growing and tropical plants. Their specialty lies in the various genera of Gingers like Amomum, Curcuma, Globba, Hedychium, Kaempferia and some of the hard to find genera.

Located in the town of Kalimpong, Northeast India, in the Eastern Himalayan foothills at 4000ft elevation above mean sea level (1200 mtrs), we are a family owned and family run flower nursery specializing in growing and exporting a wide range of cool growing and tropical plants.
